Jan Attridge is figurative painter who has
worked as a theatre dyer-painter, graphic designer, astrologer, and master teacher.

Attridge was born in Marshall, Minnesota.
She earned her BFA degree at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. In addition, after finishing a second degree at Stephen's College (Columbia, MO), Attridge completed her studies both at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and at the Boston Museum School.

Attridge joined the Guthrie Theater in 1967 as the original painter-dyer. Within a few years she had become a resident artist.

Her works have been placed in several prestigious collections including Chief Justice James Rosenbaum, Happy Rockefeller, Dolly Fiterman, Thomas and Georgia Bach, Donald Schoenbaum and S. Leonard Auerbach.

Careful draftsmanship and a lush painterly ability are her signature qualities.

She recently earned an associates degree in Computer Arts from Brown College adding graphic design and digital production to her exceptional accomplishments as a fine artist.

Jan currently resides in Grand Marais, Minnesota.
